I would like to welcome you to my little slice of the internet. The reason why I created this science hub is to communicate information about topics in science and how it impacts people living in Harford County. I am trying to do it in such a way that even if you don't have an advanced STEM degree, you can understand the concepts about why some things happen in nature.
While the focus will be Harford County Science, I will also discuss other aspects of general science that will be wider in scope. These aspects include rocks and minerals, geology, fossils, man-made climate change (it is real and hopefully I can explain it), astronomy, metrology, environment and space travel. I will even use my passion for model rocketry to try to explain some basic physics concepts.
A little about me, I am 2024 graduate from Towson University with a BS in Geology. I have also done coursework in Astronomy, Meterology and Environmental Science. I also have a BA in Economics so I have an appreciation of the use and sustainability of Natural Resources (Hint there is no free lunch).
I currently work as a full-time IT Manager. If there is anyhing on the site you don't understand please let me know.
